A New World Leader

July 21, 2017

The crowds are cheering; hysteria fills the atmosphere while others catch their breath in wonder. The time has come for those who have been waiting for their messiah, a man of peace, brilliant, articulate, solving complexities in the realm of genius. He deserves to be worshiped for there is no man like him. Many are his followers, not just followers but those who would sacrifice their lives on behalf of his earthly reign.

Alongside this redeeming world leader stands a prophet, hypnotic to the soul, mesmerizing all eyes as they gaze upon his miracles. Worship our new king, bow before him, he is your god. Euphoria has elevated emotional frenzy, blissfully celebrating the birth of a new era that has taken hearts by storm.

We may be wondering what has this world come to?  What does this mean for the believer? Are they too going to follow after this dynamic leader who has captured the souls and hearts of many?

Man has always been esteemed, they have been revered, worshipped, exalted above God. Israel wanted a king like all the other nations. God did just that but they became oppressed.

1 Samuel 8:4-9 (KJV)

4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,

5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.

7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

9 Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.

I bet the Israelite's were so ecstatic over God’s willingness to give them a king just like the other nations. We see that God was not good enough for them. Well, parting the Red Sea was okay but what did we get out of it? Isn’t that the human heart, what’s in it for me? Water out of a rock…that was then but what about now, a king will give me more.

I Samuel 8:10-20

10 And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king.

11 And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

12 And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

13 And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

16 And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

17 He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.

18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.

19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

20 That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.

What a scary place to be. Let me get this right, you want your fleshly king to judge you and fight your battles instead of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

So the Lord gave them a king alright. One that will lead them back to Egypt in their hearts, a king that will rob them of everything God intended for them. Be careful what you long for, you may not get what you bargained to have.

Idolatry is rampant in our society, it comes in all forms. One of the worse is to worship yourself or other men who are just mere men. What we get from it is control and domination, the NPD world at its finest.

God’s warning to us is do not exalt any man, do not make yourself out to be a god or worship any man who calls himself a god or acts like a god. This is diabolical and does not come from our one true God. Do not worship any organization, people group or nations. Do not give pledges or oaths to any human institution.

If our hearts are not prepared, allowing the Lord to clean the inside of the cup we will be swept up into this frenzy of the anti-christ rule. Our hearts must be conditioned for full devotion not just for our future but for now. I pray we all be the Philadelphia church to spare us from the hour of trial that will come upon the earth.

How many have already fallen away into Babylon where Nimrods rule the planet. Do not call evil good and good evil.

Isaiah 5:20 Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Revelation 3:7-10

7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
