LOOSIN WHEN YOU'RE SNOOZIN

August 7, 2017

Sometimes we feel that our shofar is not going that far. We are blowing the trumpet and no one is listening. Imminent danger has approached and yet the sheep are starry eyed and glazed like a donut smothered in sugar. I never knew wolves could achieve such celebrity status. I saw one famous Christian teacher holding a golden devil’s horn hand trophy which seemed to be in a Luciferian network. Yes, they are here among us.

JEREMIAH 6:17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken

But as we read in Luke, Jesus didn’t have many listeners either and He was God. This reminds me of the wedding feast parable.

MATTHEW 22:1-14 (KJV)

22 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

We see here in the scriptures that many were too busy and wrapped up in the everyday affairs of life to care about eternity. Why should they stop their daily routines to go to a wedding, there are more important things to do. How many have their eyes set on this world, engaged in a whole array of preoccupation rather than on Jesus.

I was on line listening to a man who lives in Israel. He was standing where a watchtower had been built overlooking terraced land where crops are produced. They also had caves built so they could be lookout points as well. These watchtowers were built to keep an eye on your harvest in case thieves were invading your land and your neighbor’s as well. This is a beautiful way of loving your neighbor, keeping watch over their crops.

Spiritual watchmen are looking for wolves that have entered in unawares. Watchmen want to see the sheep reap a harvest for the Kingdom of God and do not want their souls to be stolen by evil predators.

The trumpet blasts but no one pays attention. It becomes a nuisance of sorts to the ears of the deaf. They do not want to see that a wolf has entered in because everything is so comfy and cozy for them. The thief has been stealing from them for years and years and they do not even know it.

They can’t tell that their harvest has been ransacked and ravaged by these evil workers.

Many do not want their world turned upside down, they like status quo even though wolves have made their den among them. The sheep cannot smell the wolves, nor spot them. They have been lulled to sleep in the arms of these furry beasts.

The sheep become willful prisoners and gladly welcome chains around their necks.

Shackled and bedazzled roam in their new pastures which emulate our true Shepherd’s field, except Jesus is not there.

Proverbs 6:4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

Does this mean we can never sleep? We know it means that we must always stay on the alert, be awake, not snooze off in the midst of enemy deception.

Can we see the watchmen overlooking their terraces going to sleep? Maybe with eyes half way shut they see a shadowy figure out in their fields but pass it off to be leaves blowing in the wind. All the while the thief is coming to kill, steal and destroy like the locust invasion.

This watchman has failed to be on the alert and discern what is really taking place.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

These thieves can talk like believers and give all the right scriptures. But their fangs are right there in front of you, can’t you see them?

Isaiah 56:9-11(KJV)

9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Ezekiel 22:27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

God appoints us as believers to be watchmen. Are we sounding the trumpet or are we one of those who are sleeping among the rest?

Do we have our oil, God’s Holy Spirit living inside us? If not, you will not go to the wedding feast and marriage supper of the Lamb.

Matthew 25:4-10 (KJV)

4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

The shofar is sounding; will you sound the trumpet too? Wake up God’s people, wake up, bring your oil lamps for the bridegroom is waiting.
