A TEMPLE OF INIQUITIES

August 9, 2017

The world is a stage much like the Roman Colosseum and Circus Maximus. We are being entertained with blood and guts on movie screens and video games. Global powers have positioned their gladiators in the rink while the stands are filled with spectators. Roaring sounds like thunder echo in unrestrained cheers.

Who could fathom one would pay to see another die a gruesome death. Big and small screens are filled with violence and vulgarity of all sorts. Even in your own home, it has been invited in like a welcomed guest. Demons are not the intruders but royalty given red carpets and the best seats in the house.

Rome has not left the hearts of many, people still thirst for blood, to be thrilled and entertained until they are gorged in vomit.

Pagan temples were filled with abominations and now we have theaters and video games built to worship any and all abominations. Has this earth become like the days of Noah?

Rebellion is as witchcraft…I Samuel 15:23

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

How many believers can still hear the voice of God’s Holy Spirit calling them away from these lewd temples? How many believers engage in entertainment that God calls vile? Actors profusely call God’s name in vain over and over, but does the believer even care? When you pay to be in the presence of vulgarity, the mind has entered into depravity.

One church in our area has a Friday movie night. These are leaders in the church. So they watch profanity, God’s name being used, immorality, violence and say they are a church family. You might as well call yourself a Roman spectator who likes to salivate over hideous acts.

God wants us to worship Him in Spirit and Truth. He warns us to avoid even the appearance of evil rather how many delight in it instead. We are not to keep the flesh alive by feeding it contemptible refuse.

Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Christianity has become a pseudonym for godless sheep that create their own ideologies, templates for living an unfruitful life and discarding truth as a way of justification.

Why has entertainment become so important, almost vital to one’s breathing?

Prayer is all forgotten in homes being substituted with TV shows designed to obliterate the soul. God’s word is nowhere to be found and yet all technical gadgets are the addiction craze of the day.

What has happened to gathering together to fellowship with one another, singing a song, learning from God’s word, sharing words of wisdom, delighting in Him?

But here comes the mixture of poison, let’s get together and go dancing, bar hopping, do a wine tasting party, watch the latest blood and gore movie topped with pornography. How can one serve God and serve your flesh? This is witchcraft and idolatry.

No wonder there isn’t any church body left, it has played the harlot and is romping like Hosea’s wife Gomer. God wanted to show Israel that she was a harlot and an adulteress.

God’s bride cannot worship the golden calf and then build an altar unto the Lord. This is why fellowship is like trying to find an oasis in a desert land. His people have dried up like a dead plant, they have no life and are about to die.

Hosea 2:3 I will make her like a desert, turn her into a parched land, and slay her with thirst.

Revelation 2:1-6 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

We must repent and turn back to our first love, to worship the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul. If we love Him we would not want to put anything evil before our eyes because God’s Holy Spirit would grieve within us. Can you feel God’s Spirit still?

How can believers justify these deeds and think it is okay with God to pollute your soul? Why would you even have an appetite for such things? Something is terribly wrong if we can’t hate the things God hates. We know that satan works in many realms and if we are not discerning we can become numb to wickedness.

Revelation 3:1  (KJV)

3 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

We can talk all we want about how we go to five church meetings a week and do some honorable deeds but what it boils down to is our hearts, God wants our hearts not our garments.

Joel 2:11-15(KJV)

11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

God does not want our tassels, flowing robes and dagon hats with sun disks. He sees our hearts whether they are undivided and devoted to Him.

I can’t tell you how many previous pastors I used to listen to that opened with, “Have you seen the latest movie?” Right there I have said I’m done with you. I want to hear about Jesus not some creepy movie; God’s name thrown around like it was rubbish.

These people do not have a conscience anymore, they have been seared. Knowing what I know now, they must have been Luciferian. The only parables they know is to use some movie as an illustration for their message. Next it will be popcorn passed around with fake butter. Fake is what they know.

Jesus has cleansed us, nailed our flesh to the cross. Why would we ever want to bring our flesh up from the dead? It wars against the Spirit of God. When we allow God’s Holy Spirit to transform us, our desires change. We no longer fit in this world nor do we want to. We’ve come out from it and our focus is on bringing the Gospel to the lost, asking Jesus where He wants us to go, what He wants us to do. It is sitting at His feet and learning from Him. Our first love is alive and it stirs in our hearts each and every day. We cannot wait to praise Him, just because our hearts are full of joy.

Do not let this world rob you of your relationship with Jesus. It will if you let it. We can’t have fellowship with the Father if we are engaging in witchcraft, stubbornness and willful rebellion. And surely fellowship with brothers and sisters will be tainted with the fumes of these idolatrous temples stored in one’s heart as they play despicable scenes over and over again in their minds.

Whatever happened to the scripture in Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Hebrews 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Hardened hearts are those who are stiff-necked before the Lord. They care not about God’s truth or desire to follow Him. They wash the outside of the cup but inside they are white washed tombs.

Hebrews 3:17 But with whom was He grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

How many believers even discern whether they are grieving God’s Spirit in what they do? There is no still quiet voice tugging away at their heart because they have shut God out.

Psalm 78:40 How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!

It is time to repent, turn away from evil, leave these temples of iniquity and turn your hearts to God.
