DOES THIS SEMINAR SOUND LIKE SOMETHING JESUS WOULD DO?
Leadership without God's Holy Spirit is worthless. It becomes an inspiration of man's flesh rather than a gift that only God can give. Who cares if it is all world-class. The world is not to be our greatest achievement nor should we desire it.
James 4:4 (KJV)
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
I John 2:15-16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
God's Holy Spirit lives in the humble soul who realizes we are not even worthy to untie the sandals of Jesus. John the Baptist had it so right. There has been a slew of leadership conferences because they must think everyone wants to be a leader. Leaders get recognized, esteemed and put on podiums. They get to be heard, followed and acknowledged while the poor widow that puts in a 1/2 cent gets ignored.
True shepherds love God's sheep, they do not fleece them. They care for them and watch over their souls from wolves that would prey upon them. This has not happened in the church arena. The wolves are out and about looking for disarmed sheep who will follow them gladly into the pit.
Jesus is the only One who can be called our Leader as He is the servant of all. He built no reputation as most leaders want to do in this day and age. The greater the following, the bigger the name. It's called monetary fame among the sheep and false teachers.
I never really heard of Jesus charging anyone to learn about being His disciple. In fact He turned over the tables of the money changers and told them to stop making my Father's house a place of business.
Micah 3:11 (KJV)
“The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.”
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
God's Holy Spirit is our teacher.
1 John 2:27 (KJV)
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
