IN THE DAYS OF FAMINE THEY SHALL BE SATISFIED

October 3, 2017

Psalm 37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

I believe David had great insight to the days we are living in. There will be a time the Lord says people will hunger for the word of the Lord and not find it. The time is now.

Amos 8:12 (KJV)

12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.

There will be a time when peace cannot be found in a world created in confusion and chaos. We see man’s ability to recreate the time before the flood because they have rejected God’s Holy Spirit. They cannot understand without Jesus’s atonement for their sins and the shedding of His blood, they are hostile to God. They justify their deeds and make up their own absolution. The time is now.

Romans 8 (KJV)

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

I Peter 1:18-21 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

There will be a time when the man of perdition, the anti-Christ will promise peace and destruction will come.

I Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Daniel 12:10-11  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

There will be a time when men's appetites will grow fierce lusting after the flesh, the eyes and boastful pride of life. The time is now.

This is that time when people seek after pleasure rather than God.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

When all these things are taking place, where is the believer? They are in a place of peace, hearts satisfied and content, richly experiencing the treasures of heaven only found in Jesus. His word is near them, close to their heart.

While the world is running to and fro, we are sitting still in the presence of His glory. Truth flows between spirit, soul, joint and marrow. Deception cannot seep its lies for we have the mind of Christ and have prevailed against the darkness.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are servants of our God most high, no longer bound by crafty operations and beguilements of the devil seeking prisoners for captivity till the flames devour.

We are free, truly free…not citizens of this world which is passing away. We must remember we are children of our King, who is faithful and true. Do not lose hope, for David said…

Psalm 39:6-7  Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. 7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

James 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Our souls are not disquieted, the Lord promised us…

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 10:10 (KJV)

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Where is our treasure? Is it in Jesus?

Luke 12:34 (KJV) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Colossians 2:2-4 (KJV)

2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

HEBREWS 11:24-27

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

The world does not have God given wisdom or understanding. This is why they are blinded and deceived. They do not know where they are going because they walk in the dark.

John 12:35 (KJV)

35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

Father, we thank you for Your lovingkindness towards us, so merciful and gentle, an anchor for our souls. When corruption surrounds us, we remain pure, wholly devoted to You. Plant our feet firmly so when waves of destruction cover the earth, we are unshakeable and un-moveable, our eyes are set upon You, the Light of our Salvation. Let Your peace grow roots deep within our souls and joy rush through as living waters. You are faithful always, our Mighty Conqueror who gains us victory over our enemies. We praise and adore Your Great name, our King and only true Shepherd.  In the precious Name of Jesus I pray.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
