BELIEVERS ARE DOING JUST THIS
We could say our front door is the one we enter and leave from but there is a front door that allows thoughts to flow through, entering our minds to decipher what is false and what is true, what is good, what is evil, what is of God and what is of the devil. If we do not examine what is coming into our minds, we can be allowing satan in our front door.
Ephesians 5:7-10 (KJV)
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
This discernment is crucial in our walk with the Lord, not only to our walk but souls in how we represent Jesus on earth. We are either going to represent Christ or represent the enemy. The love of Jesus says I want to seek and save the lost.
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
The love of Jesus does not act rude, is not proud, it does not act pompous or self-seeking. It does exhibit a love for this world.
1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
Right now we are seeing a narcissistic world view. The world loves its own and this is why we see unity in darkness. They cannot embrace light and those of the light.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Why are believers trying to fit in or gain acceptance by the world by walking in darkness? Is it because they have not truly loved God more than themselves?
I Thessalonians 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Colossians 1:12-18 (KJV)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
The Lord says not to be yoked with unbelievers. Yoked is going in one direction together such as two horses yoked together while pulling the plow.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV)
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
I can most likely say that when a believer walks into a movie theater they are leaving their conscience behind, let alone any discernment that tells them blasphemy, adultery, violence, immorality is defiling the temple of God. They are yoking themselves with darkness. How many are deceived by demonic spirits that are ruling over their minds.
How many pastors who are supposed to lead their flock into holiness start their sermon off by hey, did you see the latest movie or use movies as an analogy to get their point across. It sickens me because I know they had to see everything God hates on that screen and call it good. Now believers are like the desolate wilderness because these false shepherds have destroyed and trodden down God’s people. What do they not lay to heart? Walking in truth and not defiling their souls, being obedient to God’s word out of love for their Savior.
Jeremiah 12:10-11 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. 11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is desolate, because no man layeth to heart.
TV is an avenue for this type of indoctrination leading believers into accepting darkness. Where is the conscience of the believer and why can they not hear God’s Holy Spirit convicting their hearts? They are apostate believers. Can you think of how Jesus views this type of depravation when His children are actually inviting all this evil and wickedness into their hearts and minds? Satan has been invited as a guest and they welcome his presence.
1 John 1:5-7 (KJV)
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
I John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
We can’t check in our discernment when we decide it is convenient to do so. In other words, when it suits our flesh, God’s Holy Spirit is shunned until we need Him at a later time. Our relationship with God cannot work this way. A double minded man is unstable in ALL his ways; all not some.
James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
A true believer has a testimony that shines the light of Jesus. It is not tainted nor defiled by permeating darkness. It hates darkness and exposes what is hidden in secret so that everything is brought out to the light.
Ephesians 5:11 (KJV)
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Ephesians 5:13-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
The tide of this world is strong, but as believers we are stronger because we have the power of Christ working in us. How do we redeem the time? By taking each precious moment and glorifying God with it. Futility will show forth nothing but weeds ready to be burned. If we truly love God, our lives will demonstrate it by desiring the things God loves and hating the things He hates.
