I John 1:5-7 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
What was it like to be a disciple of Christ going from house to house breaking bread, praying, singing songs and making melody unto the Lord? Their fellowship must have been miraculous.
There was no Sunday attire, stages, smoke machines, pop sermons in front of expensive backdrops. Titles were for Pharisees along with the robes.
They didn’t have to sit in chairs staring at a man who is called a pastor while he fallaciously gives sermonettes. The show begins transforming himself into an animated character. With sleight of hand, a magician waves masonic and horn signs at the sheeple hoping Lucifer captures their hearts.
Witchcraft is performed and the congregation loves it so. Deception has taken root and the great apostasy is in full swing.
No, our precious brothers and sisters that went before us didn’t have to listen to lyrics that put you into a state of hypnosis because they couldn’t find any scripture to fill in the blanks. They didn’t have to doubt God’s Holy Spirit was among them because they knew their hearts were right with God. Their fellowship was untainted and untarnished by any adulterated outside influences.
How do we have fellowship with one another…by walking in the light. How many truly have the kind of fellowship the New Testament disciples had? How many are truly walking in the light to produce that type of fellowship? You can’t have one without the other.
