DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH

January 9, 2018

We say how can a little rock turn into a shiny sparkling stone with an enormous price tag? It’s what people place value on. There are materials and elements that carry high intrinsic value. A diamond glitters itself out of glass cases all over the world. People believe diamonds are priceless so they will pay a high cost. What we hold valuable to our hearts will be the illustration of our lives.

What we consider valuable and priceless is the influential governance which molds us like clay. This process of transformation will identify our willingness to become like Christ or be conformed to the dictates of our own hearts.

Matthew 12:44 (KJV)

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Matthew 13:45-46 (KJV)

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Matthew 6:21 (KJV)

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

I believe this scripture in Matthew 12:35 is so profound as it is saying what you store up in your heart will come out of your mouth and your actions.

Matthew 12:34-35

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

I’ve studied Narcissistic Personality disorder for several years now and this scripture fits the bill on those who harbor evil in their hearts. It’s the festering volcano that needs to erupt on those who become scapegoats and targets of supply.

NPD is a spirit of destruction, annihilation, warmongering all to create an environment for their chosen scapegoat(s). The worse part is they get enjoyment and pleasure out of seeing others hurt when they attack through covert or overt means. They thrive on creating conflict and triangulation. They have no conscience therefore they have no shame in what they do. You can visit my previous posts with NPD videos.

Matthew 15:18 (KJV)

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Here we see in Matthew 15:18 telling us that each time someone speaks evil out of their mouth it will defile them. No wonder the NPD world is engrossed with malicious poison, they have utterly defiled themselves. After using their spear they wipe their blade clean while the evidence is plastered on their faces, a grin and smirk of gratification until their next supply.

It’s as if an evil beast lurks inside their bellies growing hungry every second until a blow of the whip gashes a soul till it bleeds. This is the food that satisfies the narcissist’s appetite. As one experienced expert described it, they are like a shark searching for their next meal.

Jesus saw our souls as priceless and this is why He paid the cost of His very own life to save them. He saw us as diamonds in the rough, soiled by the Adamic sin which held us slaves to the flesh.

Jesus crucified the flesh on the cross, a perfect spotless Lamb paid the price once and for all. Just like a diamond, you need to polish that raw stone, our new birth in Christ. God by-passes all the necessary events to bring that stone to a complete luster by placing us on His Potter’s Wheel. Any hardness of heart will melt away into a moldable piece of clay reflecting the character of our Master Potter.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

1 Peter 3:18-19 (KJV)

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

God is love, He came to earth in love, in the form of man. Love conquers all but how many have a heart that has grown cold.

Matthew 24:12 (KJV)

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 (KJV)

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

A heart of love is like a heart that is pure. It is not defiled or tainted with evil or hate. It does not create chaos but peace. It sits on the Potter’s Wheel trusting, resting, knowing that everything that our Potter does is perfect and complete. We will come out more radiant than the brightest diamond in the world. This should place our greatest value being on the Potter’s Wheel, with the hands of our Father molding us to become like His Son. There is no earthly treasure than can surpass this priceless gift, the gift of our salvation and transformation.
