TESLA VS. CORVETTE
Tesla revs up it’s engine. Corvette sits silently purring. Will the Corvette go head to head with the Tesla guy? Yes this was a real live scene in suburbia on a nice stretch of pavement. The gentlemanly thing to do was to allow the Tesla to be a Tesla without interference and that is exactly what the Corvette did. Competition peaked when the Tesla proved itself in power and strength. Understandably and yet maybe the Corvette thought I don’t have to prove myself to anyone.
I read a license plate that said “hot stuff”. This is not what God intended when He meant for us not to brag.
Competition is all about comparing who is better, who is brighter, who is smarter, who is going to make the front page of vogue, who is going to compromise to become famous. Competition seems to gain merit when one flaunts what one has to gain acceptance and admiration. You become your own brand that boasts of your value and worth but not in the Lord. Cain became so jealous and envious of Abel that he killed him.
The pressure is on in societies because the caste system operates in this fashion. But as believers we do not live by these rules or standards. The word says if we compare ourselves with one another it leads to evil.

12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
