ARE YOUR WALLS BROKEN DOWN?

July 2, 2019

The walls of Jerusalem were broken down. The enemy had ravished Jerusalem and taken them away into Babylon in captivity.

We can point to the walls of our hearts and minds where we have left gaps opened to allow the enemy to infiltrate. Where have we left our gates opened to invite temptation or sin?

Nehemiah was beyond heart broken. His grieving led him to fast, pray and weep for Jerusalem when he learned of it's condition.

The city walls had been demolished and had crumbled into rubbish.

We cannot leave the gates to our minds and hearts opened for the enemy to bring in destruction. He is a liar and a thief. He will steal your soul if he can.

Ezekiel 38:10-12 Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
